The National Committee of Australian Sports Ministers, through its special Sub-Committee on Women in Sport in Recreation develops the ‘Australian Women in Sport and Recreation Strategy 1996-2001’. The strategy is nationally coordinated to improve sporting and recreational opportunities and is consistent with the principles of the Brighton Declaration (see 1994 May).
