An International Women and Sport Meeting is hosted by the Great Britain Sports Council, London, to discuss how international strategies on women and sport could best be developed. The international consultative group on women and sport (see 1992 Nov) who had been working toward a planned international women and sport conference (see 1994 May) are joined by European Group on Women and Sport (EWS) and other international and Commonwealth stakeholders. In addition, an ad-hoc conference planning group meet to clarify ideas about an International Women and Sport Strategy to be outlined at the planned conference.
