The Council of Europe Committee for the Development of Sport (CDDS) press for the Brighton Declaration to be mentioned in the texts adopted. In the ‘Declaration of the role of sports in the society’, recommendation (95) 17 states that ‘young girls should have more opportunities to participate and become involved in athletic activities’.
