The African Sports Confederation of Disabled (ASCOD) launches a policy on disabled women’s and girls’ participation in sport, with a particular focus on ‘the need for access to facilities and equipment, the need for equitable funding for programs, competent coaches, and the development of an action plan to promote, develop and provide equal opportunities for both women/girls and men/boys’.
