The sixth meeting of Ministers and Senior Officials Responsible for Physical Education and Sport (MINEPS), Kazan. The result of the meeting is the Kazan Action Plan which includes the acknowledgement that the empowerment of women and girls should be central to policies and agendas to address gender equality nationally and internationally. The drafting of this document included mutliple stakeholders, due in part to the closure of the United Nations Office for Sport Development and Peace in 2016.
